The Cathedral
Church attendance and the range of activities in
the parish indicate that the Faith passed on to us from those first
4000 pioneers remains strong and that their efforts were not merely
to construct a building but to form a living community of Faith.
Our gratitude for their efforts can be shown by accepting that our
mission for this century is to continue building that community.
With the protection of our patron, Our Lady of Good Aid, we will
be able to see how to bring the peace of Christ to those who have
not yet encountered it and so to continue the mission started by
our predecessors.
The centenary Mission held in November 2000 gave us this prayer
which can serve well as a guide for us in our missions.
